Beauty | Bare Minerals Detox Face Mask

I had to dedicate an entire post to this little gem. I only tried this out by chance I don't really go to BareMineral counters very often but to be honest, anything I have tried from this brand I have always gone back to repurchase.
I love a face mask and lets face it for us girls, they fix everything. I have loved using face masks for absolute years, me and my friends would love sleepovers when we were around 13 and would always have a pamper night with a face mask and karaoke (singstar on the playstation)
I have a few favourite face masks and I do consider myself a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to face masks. My firm favourites have always been the Lush Cosmetics 'Cupcake' along with the body shop himalayan charcoal mask but this Bare Minerals detox mask has topped my all time favourites that I have ever used and that is a huge statement. First of all the packaging is super cute and looks super luxurious in my opinion, it comes with a clear spatula that I use to apply the mask with which  makes it a lot less messy! It also is super thick and creamy which I really enjoyed I left it on for about 15 minuted and it dried but it didn't crack and go hard which I hate sometimes when they dry and it feels like its stuck to your skin when you wash it off and it feels like concrete. This wasn't like that at all, it was still super smooth and because I'm so used to the face masks that dry and crack I didn't think it had worked but once I took it off my blemish had minimised and my skin was super glowy which I have never seen on my skin before due to it being so dry and dull looking I actually had glowy skin which I can usually only create with highlighter. This was instant results after using it for the first time, I was so impressed. This is 100% my new favourite face mask and I can definitely see it soon becoming a holy grail product of mine.

I truly recommend this product for blemish free and glowy skin! Have you tried any other Bare Minerals products? I definitely want to try more. Don't forget you can follow me on social media by clicking the social media follow buttons on the right hand side of the page :)

Lifestyle | My Festive Winter wonderland Bedroom

My favourite room of the house is my bedroom. Its where I go to do my make up and get ready for the day, where I relax and wind down, sometimes I even double it up as an office and blog from my dressing table. I've definitely tried to make it as cosy as possible, its all white and silvery grey which sometimes can be quite clinical and cold so I try my best to make it super bright and white but with little cosy touches to make it more homely.

If you haven't seen my first Christmas tree already then click 'here' to see how I decorated the tree in the living room, it's a 7ft tree with acorns and berry decorations, its a very traditional with golds and reds and I just love it. My bedroom tree however couldn't be more opposite if I tried, its silver pink and white, the tree is a 6ft standard green tree which I have sprayed slightly with spray 'snow'.
I am actually quite impressed with this tree. I have a couple of decorations from next (the sparkly silver ones) and the rest are from garden centres, I have one that my niece bought me from Disneyland Paris when she visited one christmas and that is definitely my favourite tree decoration it has Tinkerbell standing next to a white glittery Eiffel Tower - If you didn't know I love the Tinkerbell movies and I am obsessed with paris (I even have paris wallpaper!)
It towers at 6ft in my bedroom, I decided to add light pink ribbon this year to break the tree up a little and I actually really like the outcome, I got the huge pink Poinsettia flowers from a Alton Garden Centre which is a huge garden centre nearby that is full of christmas decorations. I took a couple of pictures on my phone to show you, if you can I would 100% advise you to go its beautiful with so many themes, I also picked up a little white and pink house inside a dome and I think they match the ribbon and flowers beautifully.

On my dressing table I have this amazing ornament which my mum got me from The Range, its a cute set of drawers with a silver wintery scene, glittery christmas tree that rotates and lights up and a silver snowglobe sat next to it which its from homesense and inside it has two little reindeer with some snowy trees.

I also picked up 9 metres worth of white acorn fairy lights which I put above my bed with a little tinsel and I have the wall of fairy lights all year round but its still super festive!
Finally, my bedding. This is the cutest reindeer bedding from Asda its not too over the top but it still matches my room nicely and is super festive.

This is my favourite room and I am SO tempted to keep this tree up all year it just looks so cute! What do you think?

Beauty | Tanya Burr 'Sweet Lip Creams' Matte Liquid Lipsticks

I saw Tanya Burr wear one of these lipsticks and ever since I really wanted to try them for myself. I love the packaging that it comes in I think it looks a lot more expensive than £9 although in Superdrug at the moment its £7!

It comes in the cutest purple packaging with hints of rose gold and a pink bow opening. It feels super luxurious due to the matte finish on the box, and I love the bow opening, it would make such a nice present for Christmas, it looks super pretty and the lipstick are honestly incredible. They couldn't feel any more 'Christmassy' if they tried! The colours are so perfect for this time of year, I am completely obsessed with these colours and I definitely am going to struggle deciding which one to wear for Christmas day.

'Blackberry Fudge'
'Santa's Little Helper'

I am so picky when it comes to lip applicators and I love the applicator Tanya chose for her lipsticks. It makes it super easy to get precise application even without lip liner - which is a big deal for me and definitely handy for when your on the go.
I am in love with the shade 'Blackberry Fudge' it is soooooo flattering and I love wearing it with crisp white jumpers or with grey jumpers and 'Santa's Little Helper' is the perfect Christmas red too! These shades will be great for xmas work deals or meals or any parties you have over the Christmas/New Year period.
I would definitely recommend these lipsticks especially this time of year the colours are so so stunning, such a perfect gift I think.

Beauty | LookFantastic Beauty Box - December

My last beauty box this year! I still have the LookFantastic advent calendar to continue to open which I'm happy about.
After purchasing the Look Fantastic advent calendar last year and being super happy with it, I decided to subscribe to their beauty box. Each month in the first week of the month I would be happily greeted with this box. I have loved every single theme and it is such a good price for what you get. I have actually found some amazing brands and products through this subscription some that I have never heard of which I'm super happy about. As a blogger you do tend to stick to recommendations which makes sense because they seem more reliable but I have loved trying out new products and falling in love with products with no influence and a complete unbiased opinion if I didn't know the brand. I have loved opening this every month and I love Look Fantastic as a company and so far have been loving the advent calendar. This box is the same wonderland theme as the advent which I love and I am sooooo happy with the wintery products this month!

Bubble T Limited Edition 'Beauty in Wonderland' Bath Fizzer

I love this! A Limited Edition bath fizzer. Its 'Beauty in Wonderland' to match their theme, Look Fantastic teamed up with Bubble T to create their own bath fizzer which I think is amazing. It has a blueberry tea fragrance which grape extract and I just thought this was amazing to get in this months box.

Gatineau Anti - Aging Smoothing Serum

Gatineau a french brand that focus in anti age products, this one is an ultimate smoothing serum. This smells so so beautiful and it feels super luxurious. I applied this after a cleanse and facemark and my skin felt incredible. I definitely think il repurchase this product.

Polaar Genuine Lapland Hand Cream

The Genuine Lapland Cream' This hand cream is so amazing! It has to be the most christmassy product in this box I'm so happy with this so far. Based on formulations of the women in Lapland! It smells gorgeous it holds a high concentrate of arctic berry extract and it makes my skin feel so soft and smooth. I really suffer from dry skin in the winter so this is perfect for me.

Ski Exfoliating Foam Cleanser

This is an all - natural exfoliator. I love exfoliating my skin but I hate foam cleansers so I was expecting to not like this very much but it really did get rid of all the gritty feel on my skin. I'm quite picky when it comes to skincare and I have my little routine so I'm not entirely sure if I'll repurchase but I did really like it.

Figs and Rouge Hydra Activ Smart Nutrient Day Cream

I've never used anything from this brand before I don't think. I am loving it though, another item I'll repurchase I think. I'm big on moisturisers and I love nothing more than finding little gems that really hydrate my skin and help me to look healthy this cream helps restore elasticity so you can get gorgeous plum glowing skin thought the winter months.

MDMFlow Matte Lipstick in Shade 'Bossy'

I've seen these lipsticks online and I haven't got round to buying one. This is in the shade 'Bossy' which I love the name and it is perfect for day to day for you boss ladys too!  Its a semi matte finish which is my personal favourite type of finish. It lasts ages and is a gorgeous gorgeous dark but warm nude, it looks dark but when applied it looks like a gorgeous warm nude. Another brand I am happy I have finally tried out this is beautiful and has been my go to everyday nude. It's also really easy to apply because it almost hugs your lip as you apply it. I love it!

I loved this months box. I would 100% recommend this subscription box. I have loved every box I've received and this month especially! After Christmas I'll be sure to post all the products I receive in my advent calendar too.

Decorating The Christmas Tree

I wanted to share snippets of my living room with you while its looking super festive. This is super cosy and I love spending my evenings snuggled up with a gingerbread candle lit next to me, watching Christmas films.

The tree is obviously the main feature of this room. Its a 7ft faux tree. I know your thinking fake trees aren't as good as real trees, I used to think the same thing. We were a family who had a real Christmas tree every single year and the thought of a fake christmas tree was like, no.
When I was a kid, faux Christmas trees were very sparse, not that big and not very nice quality. Nowadays they have insane trees and one for every home. Pre lit trees, snowy trees you name it they have it and they look incredible.
Real Christmas trees smell incredible but the needles are constantly on the floor you have to keep hoovering them up so your pets or babies don't start eating them, Its a pain to get rid of after you take it down and it all seems a bit of hassle if your lazy like me haha.
I don't actually have any downsides to a faux tree I don't think, they last years so you don't have to keep paying money every year for a new one, they don't drop needles every where, they don't start to slump nearer Christmas either and you can now buy decorations that smell of christmas trees so you can still have that festive smell!

We chose a 7ft tree which I think was from tesco. Its huge and it is really full with no gaps and its decorated with acorn and berries so it has the feel of a proper tree, I love it. My living room it quite cream and neutral so I tend to stick with the warmth of my lounge I opt for a super traditional red and gold theme for downstairs (I have a 6ft tree in my bedroom thats a completely different theme so stay tuned for that) These decorations I have collected over the last couple of years mainly from garden centres, they have the best christmas decorations - Especially tree decorations.
I took a couple of close ups of my favourite tree decs for you to see, I'm super happy with it, I think it looks beautiful and everybody comments on it when they visit which makes me happy.

The Cushions are from The Range I think and the little water bottle is from Superdrug. This plaque I think is from Ebay, Its a list of all santas reindeer if you hadn't guessed!

A few snippets from my lounge, Stay tuned for my winter wonderland theme bedroom decor - I love it it's my fave!

Lifestyle | Christmas Q&A!

I cannot believe it is the 1st of December! This year has honestly flown by, This is my favourite month. I love christmas time I love game nights with the family and I love decorating the tree while listening to christmas music! I'm going to try my hardest to do blogmas this year so I thought I'd start with a little festive Q&A!

1. Favorite Christmas Movie?
The Grinch is my all time fave. I have such happy memories of this film, I saw it at the cinema and instantly fell in love with it/him haha. That Christmas I wanted and luckily got The grinch toys and I got it on VHS (yes it was the year 2000...I think?) and I have loved it ever since and I use to watch it all year round and yes I do know it word for word. Oh, I also love The Santa Clause Trilogy.

2. Are you on the Naughty list or the Nice list?

I'd like to think nice, but you never know!

3. Show us an embarrassing Christmas photo.

I don't think I have any embarrassing photos but heres a cute pic of me sledging for the first time!

4. Have you ever had a White Christmas?

Not that I remember, It used to always snow around Christmas but never on the day.

5. Do you start your Christmas shopping on Black Friday or wait until the last minute?

I try and plan ahead and try to get organised and start a month or so before Christmas so around black friday but I never find anything in the sales.

6. If you could be in any Christmas movie what would it be?

The Grinch, Obviously.  The Who's go all out at christmas, its snowy and I'd get to have really cool hair like Cindy-Lou what's not to love?!

8. Name all of Santa’s reindeer.

Dancer, Prancer, Donner, Blitzen, Comet, Rudolph, Dasher, I think I'm missing one out?? Let me Google...I have googled it I missed out Vixen, Close though.

9. When does your family put up your Christmas tree and who decorates it?

This year I put it up with the help of my nephew and boyfriend we did the upstairs bedroom tree around the 15th-20th of November and the the Downstairs Tree the 29th November.

10. Is your Christmas tree real or fake?

When I was younger we had a real Christmas tree every year but the one we have now I honestly love so much its a fake christmas tree with berries and pinecones on its so cute - its 7ft too so its huge!

12. Peeking at gifts or be surprised?

I prefer to be surprised. Although when I was younger me and my siblings would sneak downstairs to get a peek but the living room door would be locked, so we would change all the clocks in the house so we could get up earlier.

13. Show us your ugly Christmas sweater if you have one.

I actually don't have an ugly one but this one is suuuuuuuper cute! I love Lilo & Stitch and I love Christmas so its perfect for me!

14. If you could be under the mistletoe with anyone who would it be?
My boyfriend, Obv.

15. Does your family have a special holiday recipe you like to help make?

I don't think so, my mum makes the best meatloaf but she always cooks everything herself, I'm cooking this year and hosting so it's going to be very different from usual!

16. Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?

I actually love wrapping presents, so I'd consider myself a pro-present wrapper haha.

17. Have you ever gone Christmas carol singing?

When I was youuuuung like at school and it was more us girls in fits of giggles more than caroling! haha

18. What tops your tree?

A glittery star, I have a gold one that tops the downstairs tree (red, gold traditional theme) and a silver star for the upstairs tree to match the silver/pink winter wonderland theme in our bedroom.

19. Do you make New Years Resolutions? Do you stick to them?

I don't to be honest. I try and make monthly goals if I can or if I feel I need to do something

20. You have been granted one Christmas wish…what will it be?

To have a happy, healthy family!

Ah, I really feel like watching some christmas films now with a cuppa and some biscuits! Let me know if your doing blogmas or vlogmas this year if you have a blog/youtube channel. What are you looking forward to this month?

Lifestyle | 6 things that are vital for a happy relationship

This is a little bit of a random post for me to write, I could count on one hand the amount of people I talk to about my relationship and I especially don't ever talk about my relationship online, I like to keep things private.
Movies make falling in love look like its the most easiest, most possible thing in the world. I'm sure for some it is but not for everyone. I mean, we all want the same things love, security, trust and loyalty so why is it so hard to find someone long term?
Finding somebody to fall in love with can be quite testing and pretty hard but also the most intense best feeling in the world and it is worth it in my opinion. These are things I think are just as important as trust and honesty in a relationship.
Honesty & Trust aren't on the list because they are the two foundations of a relationship if your not honest with each other you won't trust each other which then, to me means you should walk away. Don't ever settle for somebody who can't be honest with you if that means you can't trust them.

paris 2015

Communication is so vital in a relationship, it is up there with one of the most important things in a relationship. I won't let anything build up if I'm unhappy with something I will let him know straight away and if I'm super happy with something I will also let him know that also. We say sorry when we mean it and we don't let an argument drag out because if its not that important then were wasting time on something negative which neither of us want to spend our time doing so.

This is something I had to learn over time. I was good at understanding somebody to a certain degree and then I would come to a halt when somebody would act in a way or say something that is completely alien to me. Usually if someone you don't really want to take the time to understand then you do your own thing individually but when its someone you love you have to learn to understand their individual quirks. Once you open your mind and they do the same you learn why they do certain things and how they've experienced things a little different which in return makes them act a little different than you might and vice versa.
For instance, I would never understand why he will not talk to me when he's making something or playing a game (now I know men simply can't multitask its not a myth guys!) and he would never understand why some days I would suddenly feel anxious. Understanding eachother is so important it helps a lot and makes the other feel better knowing you've got their back, I now wait until he's finished concentrating til I ask him something and he helps me calm down and get through things when I'm feeling anxious (even if it means leaving work early to come and meet me in London at my first event!)

My other half is hands down one of the most supportive people I've ever met. I could literally turn round and be like 'I think I might try at being an acrobat' and he'd be like 'sweet babe, you've got this' which is amazing. Theres a lot of things I wouldn't have tried if it wasn't for his belief in me. I think we tend to talk about things we'd dream of doing with our other halves, just in random conversations but whenever him & I chat, he always seems to turn a random not very thought out idea into a goal. I wouldn't even be writing this blog if it wasn't for him telling me I could and should start again and I know if I was single or without his support I would 100% have put my blog or my ideas on the back burner and left them. Its that little bit of support from someone else that pushes us that extra step further.

I think humour is actually really important in a relationship. I am telling you now no one has seen me act so strange and bizarre like my other half has - he's my best mate. We can spend hours laughing at something that isn't remotely funny or something really childish like the time we went to Whipsnade Zoo to stay in overnight. We did a sunset tour and it was the zoo keeper and a small group of about 8 people in total (so super quiet) The zoo keeper was going into detail about how 'big' the elephant is and its the only word I kept hearing big this and biggest that, then to my horror the elephants... 'manhood' shall we call it? was out on display and nobody clocked it except us and we were giggling like school kids in a small silent group and I honestly thought I was going to pass out because we was practically turning red trying to keep our laughter in. It wasn't even that funny, I think it was just the timing with what the zoo keeper was saying but it was one of those moments where your supposed to be quiet you end up wanting to laugh more but I love moments like that with him proper silly immature moments that you think you've grown out of and I love that.

The most important thing for a relationship is commitment. Society nowadays has introduced more ways on how to get the base and feel of a gf/bf but without the commitment. If your looking for a long term 'real' relationship then your going to need to commit to each other. People seem to be scared of commitment, even the thought of marriage to some people scares them, the 'till death do us part' makes people think they are in lockdown and in for a lifetime of unhappy marriage, rules and regulations. Thats not a marriage. Nobody should commit to somebody who doesn't reach their needs or make them happy Although, sometimes in a long term relationship there will be times that person won't always meet your needs and your won't meet theirs either but commitment is what will bring you together so you will be meeting each others needs equally.
Every couple has an enormous challenge to stay devoted through your relationship a long time after the 'honeymoon phase' but if your committed and you stick with it (both equally) then you'll always come out on top and always have each other.

Respect is hugely important in a relationship. You have to give respect in order to receive it. When you have mutual respect you instantly have support, trust and you value each others independence. I'm talking about honest respect, I don't mean the respect out of fear or if you've put someone on a pedestal and your infatuated. I'm talking about that true real respect when you see someone and all their flaws and still feeling that appreciation for them. In order to respect someone you must respect your self first, when you really treat each other with respect it completely changes things and can help you get over so many obstacles, Love is clearly important but I honestly believe respect is what keeps it together its what keeps us connected and passionate with a better understanding and support to get over numerous hurdles. Respect is crucial to a long term relationship.

I hope you liked a more personal post, I don't talk about relationships much but I love reading them and when I was going through rough patches in the past I'd love reading these kinds of posts to help me see the bigger picture and to help me realise that yes maybe I am being a bit dramatic because as long as we have the main basis to a relationship I'm sure we'll be fine so I'll let him off for not emptying the dishwasher because on the grand scheme of things it really isn't that important.
These are just my views and obviously there is so much more you could add to the list but these are my top 6.

Look Fantastic Beauty Box - November

I am a huge fan of Look Fantastic, ever since I bought their beauty advent calendar almost a year ago. It was my first beauty calendar and I have purchased their one again this year and it is insane ( I'll do a post nearer Christmas on that!)

This months beauty box is called 'Ready, Set, Glam' and the colouring and style of this box is similar to their winter wonderland beauty advent calendar which you can see behind.

This is an innovative eye cream that promises to seriously lift the eyes and even lifts your lashes by applying just a tiny bit on the roots of your lashes, I'm really excited to keep trying this I am really into eye creams since my eyes became super dry and I would love a little lash lift too! The cream itself smells gorgeous and it feels so nice and soothing on my skin its the thickest eye cream I've ever used (in a good way) I've noticed an improvement in the appearance and feel of my eyes and I'll keep you updated on the lashes.

I love Pixi as a brand so I was obviously super excited to get a Pixi product I haven't used before. This is their glow booster I loved this I tried it straight away, it blended seamlessly into my skin and it genuinely looks like its lit from within totally sold on this product I love any glowy product due to the fact I have super dry skin and I love that I can get that in just one product.

I have never heard of this brand before, The packaging is super similar to the Nügg lip products with the gold ball packaging (perfect for stocking fillers very christmassy!) I got a gorgeous silver toned grey eyeshadow which is perfect for winter and it is super pigmented and really bendable.
I love this works products, I've had a couple of their creams before and they always smell amazing. I had a pillow spray a while back but ran out so this came just in time, I've been super ill recently and haven't been sleeping great so this is a little life saver.

This moisturiser is gorgeous! It feels so luxurious it's thick and creamy without being heavy and it sets into the skin so so quickly leaving a gorgeous soft satin texture to the skin straight away and it doesn't leave that awful clammy feeling, your skin literally soaks it up in seconds I am 100% purchasing this in the future.

I was so surprised to get a liquid lipstick in this box. I am such huge fan of liquid lipsticks and I am wearing one most of the time, this is a gorgeous nude which is obviously an absolute winner, I actually carry this in my handbag now. It has a good lasting application and you only need one coat because the pigmentation is spot on, It doesn't bleed or dry out and I think this might be my favourite product of the box this month.

I am super happy with this months box, The eye cream was an absolute winner for me and the lipstick! What do you think? Will you be trying out any of these products?
