5 Foundations That are worth your money

There are sooo many foundations on the market now, with all different tones and shades. It’s one beauty product that I don’t mind investing in, I personally think the base is the most important part of makeup routine and it is one of my favourite parts of doing my make up …and highlight and lipstick obv. When you have a flawless base to work with all your make up seems to come together a lot easier. I have gone through tons of foundations from a teen up until now, trying out all kinds of consistencies, coverage and lots of different finishes, from when my skin has changed and when I was finding out what type of skin I had. I have quite dry skin, so I definitely try to go for more hydrating foundations unless I have a lot of moisturiser and a good hydrating primer.

I’ve put a handful of foundations together, which I would recommend depending on your budget I have drugstore/high street brands and a high end product too.

Tried & Tested Foundations I would recommend

L’Oreal True Match
I love this foundation, The consistency is pretty light however it has a good buildable coverage, I like how light it feels on my skin, its not sticky at all and it lasts a good amount – I also love the concealer to this foundation its one of my faves!

YSL Touche Eclat
This is such a pretty foundation, I normally use this for date nights etc but it is also really good to wear in the summer, its just what I look for in a foundation, it feels super light with a good amount of coverage, it doesn’t budge much at all and it blends like an absolute dream!

L’Oreal Lumi Magique
This is my go to in the summer its more budget friendly than the YSL. It is super dewy and it has little shimmer particles so it makes you look super glowy, this is perfect for spring or summer. I usually wear fake tan in the summer anyway so it just makes you look super sun kissed and glowing I love it it also has a really good coverage also.

Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid
My first ever foundation was the infamous Dream Matte Mouse by Maybelline, I wouldn’t opt for that foundation now because my skin is so dry, 13 year old me had no idea what type of skin I had and matte was not for me. However, I am still a huge fan of Maybelline and I love their dream satin liquid, this is a better match for my dry skin, its a gorgeous finish and amazing coverage and this is another like the YSL that blends soooo nicely I don’t even have to watch what I’m doing when I apply this foundation.

Mac Cosmetics Studio Sculpt
This foundation is gorgeous, it covers everything! It’s pretty thick which I like because its still really hydrating, it blends nicely but it covers every flaw and it lasts all day, If your looking for a hydrating foundation that will stay put this is the one!

The next foundations I want to try is Too Faced Born This Way and Revlon ColourStay Foundation I’ve heard amazing things!
Have you tried any of these foundations? What do you think of them?

I used to love the Dream Satin Liquid foundation and I also had the mousse haha! I still swear by my L'Oréal True Match though. I need to venture out to high-end foundations instead of sticking to drugstore all the time xwww.itsmeganelizabeth.blogspot.co.uk

I use Revlon Colorstay every day! It's so amazing, it's got amazing coverage without being too thick and cakey and I've managed to find a shade that perfectly matches my skin as well. I haven't tried any of these foundations but I've heard such good things about L'Oreal True Match! Really want to give it a try xAlicewww.accordingtoalicex.com
