Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place Festival ♥︎

(ahappy.png

Sundays are my day of rest. I usually spend my Sundays going for walks, having a pamper and chilling out but on the 4th of August I got up really early and had a little trip to Chiswick with one of my oldest friends ♥︎

We were a little apprehensive and wasn’t sure what to expect but I honestly loved every minute of it. I wasn’t even going to post about it but I thought it could really help somebody if any of you decide to go next year and wanted to know what to expect I would’ve found it helpful but this weekend was the first one I think.

The event was at Chiswick house and gardens which is such a pretty location! Very ‘instagrammable’ Everything was super spaced out, it had a big shopping tent full of amazing brands. There were food stalls, free smoothies, meditation tents, massage tents a huge community stage where you could join in on some classes with the likes of Joe Wicks (the body coach) and Dame Kelly Holmes. We sat and ate churros near the little lake area which was really pretty (right next to the meditation tent) and then we went to the paperchase pledge wall, where you make your own pledge, write it down and pin it to the wall.

There was also a big tent with a small stage for live podcasts and talks. I listened first to Megan Crabbe aka BodiPosiPanda. Weirdly, I only found her on social media recently, but after listening to her wise words in the talk with Fearne I quickly latched on to her wisdom, she was so friendly happy enough to stop and chat to us and I even ended up purchasing her book! I love everything that she stands for and took on so much of what she said, the next talk was with Russel Brand, a fellow Essex boy! he actually went to the same school as my ex (lol) He was so funny and again I left with what felt like so much knowledge talking about addiction, forgiveness and looking at bigger picture in life and the last talk was with Reggie Yates, I loved watching both him and Fearne together on CBBC’s smile which was a tv show I watched as a kid, listening to them reminisce and show pictured from over the years was really lovely, I also found him so interesting and inspiring talking about his past and the documentaries and trips he has been on.

Overall, the day was super relaxing and positive I normally get really anxious when I go to these kind of events but I left this one feeling better than before. I think if you are thinking about going next year I would 100% say go for it! There is so much to do, see and listen to you will definitely leave with a whole new outlook on life I promise!
