I mean, its not rocket science. If you want to have healthy hair, look after it. Simple really.
Let’s look at the history of my hair, I haven’t always had healthy hair, I’ve always had thin/fine hair but from around 13-14 years old I started to bleach it, you know how it goes you have a couple highlights and then you find yourself suddenly a fully fledged blonde, I carried on bleaching my hair, then went dark for a couple of years, lightened it again, went for more bold colours and just forever changed my hair.
I used to live in bonded hair extensions, as I said I’ve always had thin hair so in secondary school when I was around 15/16 years old I started wearing extensions to help my thin hair, these became a staple for me and then when I was 18 years old I opted for bonded extensions instead of clip ins, these started at 16 inch then progressed to 18inch and then 22 inch – a lot of hair I know!
I wasn’t too concerned about keeping my hair healthy because I had bonded extensions so I could never condition the top of my head etc anyway, but back in June for some reason I decided to cut my hair from thick 22 inch locks down to a ‘lob’ – a long bob I actually wrote a post about it which you can find ‘here‘ I actually was a little scared I’d hid behind extensions for yeaaaaars due to having such fine hair but I thought sod it I’ll get it healthy for a couple of months then get extensions again. I ended up really liking it and I actually enjoy using hair products now, I never really used them before except the occasional hair masks on the ends but I could use anything in the top of my hair so I have really enjoyed having pampered hair.
7 months have past since I had the bold cut, and I had it cute only once since then (my next appointment is beginning of feb) all my family have commented on how fast it grows now and how thick it is! and honestly I have never had thick hair, I mean its not as thick as my sisters, or my other half but for me it seems like a new head of hair and I love it and I find it really relaxing pampering my hair now and because I’ve seen results on its thickness and general health I actually love shopping for beauty products and I feel like I’m still pretty new to it. One thing I’ve come to realise is I love coconut scents when it comes to my hair, or nice fruity Herbal Essences scents they do the best ones! but I have fallen in love with two product in particular and now I want everything from this range now! This being the Lee Stafford Coco Loco range.
I have used Lee Stafford for a number of years, the original scent of Lee Stafford really reminds me of my college days. This scent in his coco loco range is much more my kind of thing, it smells like beach holidays with its gorgeous hint of coconut. I was really intrigued to the dry shampoo, I don’t actually use dry shampoo that often if I’m honest I find them a little chalky and it makes my hair feel a little dry if I’m honest. This one smells a lot nicer than most dry shampoos first of all, Its super lightweight and it does exactly what you’d expect it to do, it doesn’t dry my hair out at all which is a huge bonus for me it doesn’t leave it chalky and full of product. I’m really enjoying using this in-between washes to give it a freshen up.
The little tube of blow & go genius lotion contains coconut oil obviously like most of this range and coconut oil works wonders on hair. This little product smooths, improves shine, adds softness, conditions, strengthens, nourishes, helps repair damaged hair, protects against humidity, protects against colour fade and heat! That is a lot for one small tube and you don’t need a lot either, after the first use my hair instantly looked smoother and sleeker and felt insanely soft and it makes your hair smell beautiful too. This is my favourite hair product that I use at the moment and its the one product I really notice if I have missed it out of my routine it leaves it super silky soft and smooths my ends beautifully and it smells absolutely gorgeous!
I really do want everything in this range now so does my mum I think too! Whats your haircare routine like? Have you tried these products?
