How to achieve bronzed glowing skin despite having eczema ♥︎

(glowing).png

It’s been a hot minute since I wrote about some makeup favourites, if you have been reading my blog lately you will know I suffer from eczema and just because I have eczema doesn’t mean I can’t have my favourite bronzey glow. I have always loved playing around with makeup even as a kid I would find my mums or nans makeup bag and rummage through it. Since my eczema has been flaring up regularly, makeup hasn’t been my number 1 anymore ‘skin first makeup second’ but I have finally found a couple of products by my beloved La Roche-Posay that combines the two ♥︎

If you have been following my little Eczema journey you will probably already know I have huge amounts of love and respect for La Roche-Posay. As a brand they have helped my skin so much, I haven’t found a skincare routine quite like it. After itching half of my skin off in the night, when it comes to morning skin routines even putting the mildest of soaps or cleanser on my skin can make it feel like acid but adapting to La Roche-Posay it has changed everything for me, its created for anybody with irritatable or dry skin prone to eczema and psoriasis so as you can imagine it feels like a milky calming dream on my sore skin. I wrote a complete post about my skincare routine ‘here’.

I recently discovered the most amazing product on the planet…

La Roche-Posay Toleriane foundation, so Toleriane is the range that I use which specifically caters for hypersensitive skin and now it is in a gorgeous medium coverage, dewy foundation and I could not be happier with it! It gives me that bit of added confidence when my skin isn’t at its best, I don’t mind not wearing makeup and in all honesty this year I think I can count on my hand the number of times I have worn makeup but with my birthday coming up and attending meetings I would like to wear foundation and to look my best self.

The good thing about this foundation is that it sits beautifully on my skin covering up any blemish without the use of concealer, it genuinely soothes my skin, doesn’t irritate my eczema at all and feels so weightless like I don’t have anything on a complete winner and a product I would highly recommend if you suffer from irritable skin conditions or even if you just have dry skin and would like a foundation without any parabens or nasties inside.

The second product my babes at LRP is revolutionary for me. The one beauty product I had to sadly give up was fake tan. I have worn fake tan since I was in secondary school so at least 10 years (vom I’m old) but on a night out or date night fake tan is such a statement, I look healthier with it I feel amazing when wearing it and although I’m still confident without it I do love having glowy bronzed skin so after searching for an eczema safe version of fake tan I came across two brands Green People and La Roche-Posay, because I have such a loyalty to LRP I obviously opted for their version but I am going to try the green people one too so I can let you know! The La Roche-Posay self-tan has changed everything for me, it goes on seamlessly while really moisturising my skin and making it look and feel amazing. It is paraben-free, 100% hypoallergenic and Non-comedogenic (which means it won’t block pores) these are typically things I look for in beauty products and because La Roche-Posay follows strict formulation regulations it’s a brand I can fully trust and remain loyal to which is why I recommend these products. Even if you don’t suffer from a skin condition there’s no reason why you should have fake tan or foundation that is packed full of unhealthy ingredients or will block your pores, you deserve the best and I would totally recommend these two products.
