I love Winter so much, I love all the twinkling fairy lights in the streets, I love the indulgent food and Christmas markets. However, I am not a fan of what the weather does to my skin, it causes absolute havoc! I suffer from eczema anyway and in the winter my skin becomes a dry, itchy mess so I make sure that I have my little pamper evenings I literally pamper myself from head-to-toe!
I have accumulated a lot of different products that really help my skin get into a dewy, radiant state and make me feel incredible, hence why I love to do this. My pamper evening may seem kinda heavy but believe me, it is so worth it. Take a couple of hours to yourself and instead of snuggling up to watch a film (or while you watch Netflix on your iPad like me) then take the time to pamper yourself, it’s important to have a little unwinding time. I am sharing with you my ultimate feel good pamper evening using every single favourite product of mine, these are my holy grail all time faves which I recommend to everyone!
Bath & Body
Let’s start with the star of the show – the bath, the first thing that makes me relaxed. Now I loooove Lush and their bath bombs but I’ll be honest I don’t have them as much as I would like I much prefer this body shop Wild Argan Oil Bubble Bath, This leaves my skin feeling super silky soft and hydrated. I love the feeling of luxury when I’m having a pamper session and this definitely feels like a luxurious bubble bath, it’s super rich and has such an amazing scent and of course, it’s The Body Shop so cruelty-free!
I usually use the same Lush’s Dream Cream moisturiser on my body as soon as I have got out of the shower or bath I moisturise and I have done for a long while. I suffer from eczema and have done since I was a child and the only thing that worked was Aveeno, sadly Aveeno isn’t cruelty-free so once I reused the bottle I had I vowed not to ever repurchase and my skin really suffered but luckily I found the Dream Cream from Lush and it has been a life saver for me and I haven’t looked back. Lush is a great company for people who are looking for cruelty-free or plastic-free packaging. Lush do some amazing body lotions and shower gels that are plastic free and none of there products are tested on animals.
My evening skincare I’m actually a little obsessed with, to be honest, I love it when my face feels and looks it’s best and I achieve this by using the following things…
In the evening I like to go in with a double cleanse. The first cleanse is to take all my makeup off and I usually reach for the Ultrabland Cleanser from Lush. I have been using this for over a year now and I still love it. It feels like a butter which is strange but it leaves my skin feeling so silky soft and gorgeous! I will always rave about this product. The second cleanse which is now another favourite of mine which I also use in the morning as well as the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, this makes my skin so radiant and flawless and I honestly can’t go without it now, definitely a firm favourite. I don’t know why it took me so long to try! I also love this boots Botanics flannel it is 2 sided, one side is like a normal muslin cloth and the other side is the softest fluffiest material like a blanket it’s amazing!
Once I’ve cleansed I usually go in for a face mask as it’s a pamper evening! My firm favourite is the BareMinerals Dirty Detox face mask. Although it’s detoxifying it leaves my skin nice and glowy and super squeaky clean! I have also used this for probably a year too and it still blows my mind!
After I’ve washed my face mask off and my skin is left squeaky clean I then pop on some eye masks, I love the Garnier moisture bomb eye masks, they are so inexpensive but feel so good on my eyes. They aren’t like your typical eye masks, these ones don’t stay slimy they kind of dry very slightly which I love so I know when to take them off and they aren’t sliding down my face.
I then go in to moisturise my face, I want to be radiant and glossy for when I go to bed. I use The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum. This stuff is a godsend and I have been really enjoying using my Facial Roller also from The Body Shop to really soak it into my skin, it makes my skin feel and look fresher and it’s so relaxing to use before bed. I sometimes use a face moisturiser on top of this too but the oil still works really well without added moisture.
On my eyes, I use the Enchanted Eye Cream, again from Lush. This is so soothing on my eyes which are super dry in the winter. This cream works wonders and hydrates and calms the itchiness I sometimes get too.
This is where it really feels like a pamper I absolutely LOVE pedicures I find them to be one of the most relaxing beauty treatments so I decided why not start this at home? When I get in if I have super tired aching feet, so I actually bought a foot spa from amazon which you can find here. It has quickly become my new fave thing I’ve also loved using the Scholl foot exfoliator especially this time of year when it’s party central and so many social events it’s must-have for me now. My feet were actually super smooth after one use and now I switch the head and use the fluffier version for the bottoms of my legs to make them nice and smooth after shaving. The Foot Magic moisturiser by Palmers is incredible too it smells so fresh and leaves my feet silky smooth, I use this every single night now.
Yes, this is my intense pamper sesh! Obviously, you don’t have to do it all in the same evening, I don’t usually use the foot spa if I’ve just had a bath but I always use the foot cream. Do you love a pamper evening? What are your favourite products?
