I recently cleared my makeup drawer out and yes I have a drawer instead of a makeup bag but who can really cram their beauty in a makeup bag nowadays? Anyway, I had a huge clearout throwing away all my empty lipsticks, dried up mascaras basically all my used up products that are definitely in need of throwing. I also had a huge flare-up of eczema so my doctor told me not to wear any makeup for a while which made it a lot easier to part with my beloved products, I kinda had to. Since it’s been easing up I have been getting so excited to paint my face again! I took a trip to Superdrug (they had a 3 for 2 offer) so I thought why not buy some new makeup to use on my new fresh face.
The first thing I bought was this Rimmel contour and highlight stick, Rimmel was one of the very first makeup brands I tried as a teen and I still have never found an eyeliner better than Rimmel glam eyes liquid eyeliner (even luxe brands) anyway back to the contour stick, I love the concept of this being in an easy, creamy stick form. I first saw Suzie (hello October) use it on one of her vlogs and it looked really good so I thought I’d try it out! I must say it blends out beautifully, I have the medium shade and I loved using it!
My first L’Oreal product I’m going to mention is this unlimited mascara, first of all the packaging is so pretty I love the matte black packaging so much. The brush applicator is gorgeous to use and the handle snaps into a bent position so you can coat every single lash! It does make my eyelashes look super long but if you want volume I would add a coat of thickening mascara but if you’re looking for longer lashes like I was then it’s perf!
The second product I got from L’Oreal was this gorgeous eye paint, the pigment is stunning, the colour is beautiful and it goes on like a shimmery eye shadow and it is so easy to use makes my mornings a lot easier when I want to make an effort but don’t have the time!
Another from L’Oreal (infact I think the rest of the products are by L’Oreal) is the glow mon amour highlighting drops. I have such dry skin so I have actually been using this under my makeup and a tiny bit on my cheeks on top, but under my makeup it makes me look so dewy and I love it!
and the last two product I got from L’Oreal was the chocolate liquid lipstick, this stuff smells incredible and I’m not even a huge chocolate scent lover, it lasted really well I reapplied this once about 6 hours later which is pretty good going, it doesn’t feel like I’m wearing any lipstick either which I like and the colour is stunning it’s in the shade Sweet Tooth. I decided to pair this with the lipliner (again from L’Oreal) and they go gorgeously together, this colour is so pretty and it is also really pigmented.
I wanted to show you guys what my recent purchase was and hopefully, my skin gets better so I can carry on wearing makeup!
